Joshua Gluck

I am a Computer Science PhD student at Carnegie Mellon University. I have worked in both software development and data analysis, and loved doing both. I have experience with a wide range of computer science languages, data analysis tools, and Systems level development. I have specific expertise in the areas of Privacy, Security, Energy, Human Computer Interaction, and Parallel Computation.

Brick: Towards a Unified Metadata Schema For Buildings
BuildingDepot: An Extensible and Distributed Architecture for
Building Data Storage, Access and Sharing
Privacy Nudging Project: Using privacy nudges to encourage users to be more aware, and in control of, their online (and mobile) privacy settings.
Studying methods for encouraging computer users to conserve energy.
Protect my Privacy: A smartphone application allowing users to choose which data apps may access, which data they may not access, and which data will be sent as a randomized/anonymized stream.
Election Analytics:  Bayesian probability using weighted averages of polling data to predict election outcomes.
